Insomnia Strikes Again

Well, it’s 1:10 in the am and I can’t sleep, as usual. I have developed a pretty bad cold so now I am trying to juggle back pain, heartburn, and a runny nose. It’s not easy to find a suitable position for all these complaints. However, I am not discouraged, relief is just around the corner, or at least 4 wks. I just keep telling myself the end reward is worth it all. I believe the baby has dropped because my ribs no longer hurt, and I didn’t think it was possible but I do actually have to go to the bathroom more. Speaking of the bathroom, we’re out of toilet paper. Is it ok to send Aaron out in the middle of the night for toilet paper and sudafed? I’ve never sent him on any craving runs, maybe this will take it’s place. Well, this isn’t very deep or entertaining but it killed 6 minutes of my sleepless night. Please say a prayer that this cold will resolve quickly and that I can get some semblance of sleep (all I ask is for 3 hours).

Christmas for Aaron

Ok all you crocheting fools, Aaron wants these two hats for Christmas. Obviously one is for Molli. The R2D2 hat is for Aaron. No, Molli will not be wearing this in public. Anyways, I don’t know how to read a pattern, but the websites with these pics have patterns available so I need help!!! Is is sad that I think the Yoda hat is kind of cute? Not sure why the pics are loaded twice but I don’t wanna try to fix it cause I might lose them.

I need a maid

Seriously though, I am looking for some assistance. Since my back has been out I can’t do certain household chores and I am wanting to get my house REALLY clean before the baby comes home. I’m looking for someone to help me. I can do certain things, such as: dust, fold laundry, clean toilets and sinks. I am wanting help with: baseboards, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and cleaning the windows (probably just the inside of the kitchen, dining and living room due to the weather). If you know anyone who does these services let me know (sarah, since you’re the only one who reads my blog). I don’t know what this would cost either so I’m open to suggestions!

JJ Heller

I have been meaning to post about our adventure to go see JJ Heller, but I am lazy! Last Monday I went with Sarah, Carol, Julie, Jami, and Heather to go see JJ Heller perform. Travis told me it was a free concert for women, turns out for women with Eating Disorders! It was really awkward walking in, but we made Sarah go first, lol. I had gone straight from work so I felt really bad because half the time I was thinking about food! Anyways, Sarah gave a good rundown on her blog about the night. They didn’t mind that we weren’t there for the support group. It was at a place called Finding Balance, but Sarah called it Fairly Balanced, which is funny because that is probably a more accurate description of most of us, do we ever find balance? One of the reasons I am impressed with JJ and her husband is because you can tell they are genuine, they are really living what they believe. I really enjoyed listening to her explain why she wrote the songs and the stories behind them, that made them more real to me. She is really talented, but she doesn’t flaunt it. I could tell they were really working to glorify the Lord. I felt like she really cared about the girls in the group, and was there to try and give them support. Sarah mentioned the girl, Molly, that was there on her blog. She was so thin, but she was so sweet and beautiful.  Carol told me that before we left she told her that she would be praying for her and her response was “Thank you so much, no one has ever told me that before”. Can you imagine? I feel so blessed, and unworthy. How many times a week do I hear that from friends and family? That really broke my heart. Overall, it was a great night. I was really glad I got to be a part. It’s good to see God working in other people’s lives. The one thing that I was disappointed about was that I didn’t get to speak to JJ. She had a little fan club that was hogging her when it was over, I was a little bitter. I wanted to tell her that I read her blog and I know everything about her, so I’m basically one of her best friends, she just hadn’t met me yet. I guess that’ll have to wait! Lol, she would probably put a restraining order on me anyways. Seriously though, if you’ve never heard her music I recommend it. Here’s a little sample:

35 Weeks and counting

Well, not much longer to go!

fetaldev352

Two weeks ago I had an ultrasound and Molli weighed 4 lbs and 2 oz! She is head down, so hopefully she’s getting ready. I am a little apprehensive because my doctor is on vacation Dec 25-Jan 2 and I am due Dec 29th! Please pray she comes before his vacation!! We’re aiming for the week of Dec 15th!

Clothes Exchange

Would anyone be intertested in getting a “clothes exchange” together. I know I have way too many clothes hanging in my closet just taking up hangers. I think I might also be nesting!! Anyways, we could get together with the clothes we don’t want kind of like the coupon exchange. Just an idea. I would be willing to do it at my house if we need a place. Also, thanks again to Deann for lending me the maternity clothes, I’m already wearing out that polka dot shirt like you said you did!!! You’re awesome!

Woman singing while in Labor

I wish this is what my labor would look like. I’m sure there’ll be more whining and possibly biting my husband’s head off. I thought the song was beautiful though.
